Super, Super service at Daniel James. Daniel and his team demonstrated a level of commitment and attention to detail second to none. If you’re looking to move house or buy in the Oswestry area and you’ve ever had a less than satisfactory experience with other agents then you must give Daniel James a call .. you won’t be disappointed.

We recently purchased a property through Daniel James estate agents and we cannot rate them highly enough. They took time to understand our requirements and helped us find the perfect new home quickly. They continued to provide excellent personal support and advice during the purchase process with regular calls and we even received an amazing hamper of useful items on completion day. Nothing was too much trouble, even helping us liaise with the previous owners with a couple of queries after we had moved in.

We had the house on the market with another well known estate agent for 6 months and had 1 appt to view in all that time. Switched to Daniel James based on his professional approach and advice and what a transformation. Before the house went on the market everyone from the office came round to view and familiarize themselves with the property and understand the selling points and we had our first viewing within a week followed by many more. When we had an interested party the service, support and follow up was amazing and whilst we had some complications with that sale, Daniel and the team (special shout out to Mike for a fantastic job) managed us through those issues and to a sale that we thought may have gone at one point. Nothing but praise for the whole team and we would definitely recommend Daniel James as the go to estate agency.

Our property was a grade 2 listed old farmhouse that although full of character and in a lovely location, needed a bit of TLC and therefore wasn’t an easy sell. We had tried 3 other estate agents then someone recommended Daniel James to us. From day one I recognised their approach was different and very authentic. Each member of the team is delightful and professional and they work with you every step of the way. You are not just another customer. They understand the importance of buying and selling properties and how challenging and stressful this time can be. I would fully recommend them if you are looking for a knowledgeable, professional estate agent that genuinely cares.

Daniel, Merry and Mike were very friendly and helpful, quickly establishing a relationship with us and soon they felt like friends. It was so easy to talk to them and they were very good at keeping us up to date with developments. They developed a knowledge of our property, helping them to market it very effectively to all who viewed it. They also understood our requirements and were so helpful in showing us properties that met our needs.

We have been working with Daniel James over the last few months with our house search, particular Mererid who has been an integral part of our search… Even when our sale fell through Mererid kept in touch and kept an eye out for us so we were ready to get back to searching once we sold again. Her patience with us and effort in trying to meet the needs of our family has been incredible and we will be forever grateful. Mererid has been the best we have worked with and has shown incredible patience and grace throughout as we have not been the easiest of families needs to fulfil. Thank you so Mererid for all your help we do greatly appreciate it.

Our decision to engage Daniel James Residential to handle the sale of our house was very straightforward – we had read and were impressed by Daniel’s regular articles on the property market, published in the Baschurch Village Newsletter. He seemed very knowledgeable and we felt no need to consider any other agents for our sale. The initial meeting with Daniel, to view and assess our property, was thorough and productive, and confirmed in our minds that we had made the right choice of agent. The follow-up personalised presentation, which included recommendations for pricing and marketing, was very professionally produced and suggested a target selling price very much in line with our expectations. The marketing material and asking price generated immediate interest and we received an offer, at the full asking price, within one week of putting the property on the market. This was an excellent result for us, and we were delighted with our partnership with Daniel James Residential. The DJR team continued to assist us through the next stage of our journey, i.e. negotiating the purchase of a new property. They have been unfailingly polite and helpful and we would have no hesitation in recommending them to anyone seeking to choose a reliable and professional selling agent. Michael B.

We recently sold my mum's house through Daniel James Residential, and I would like to express our sincere thanks to the lead agent on our sale Norman Brown and the rest of the team My mum suffers from memory loss, so arranging viewings and managing the sale required additional sensitivity and understanding. Norman was thoughtful and considerate throughout, always working with me to arrange viewings at suitable times and ensuring there was as little disruption and stress for my mum as possible. His patience, kindness and professionalism made a difficult situation much easier for our family. Communication was excellent from start to finish. We were kept informed at every stage of the process, and any questions were dealt with promptly and clearly giving us confidence throughout what can often be a stressful experience. I would not hesitate to recommend Daniel James Residential to anyone looking to sell their property. The service we received was professional, personal and genuinely caring, and we are very grateful for all the support provided.

I highly recommend Daniel James Residential to anyone in need of an estate agent. When it came to marketing and selling our home, Daniel thoroughly explained all of our options. We felt completely informed, empowered, and in control of every decision we made. Thanks to his expertise and discretion, our property sold quickly, with minimal impact on family life, and achieved the sum we were hoping for. I also purchased my new home directly from Daniel’s portfolio. The entire buying process went through beautifully smoothly, with the team keeping me updated on the progress every step of the way. Daniel and his team managed to turn what is traditionally a stressful life event into a transparent and positive experience. Their professional dedication, empathy, and communication are unmatched and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone.

From start to finish dealing with Daniel James Residential was a great experience! My house had previously been on the market with another local estate agent and within the first 4 months we had zero viewings, so I was recommended to use Daniel James Residential. The approach to the sale was refreshing with some nice ideas and features to attract prospective buyers from the use of an extremely professional walk through video to some virtual staging which really made my property stand out, Within 2 months the property was sold. However this was not the end of this transaction, We were in a chain of four others which for various reasons became extremely protracted and went on for a further 4 months! I must add this was nothing to do with Daniel James, My Solicitor or myself but the lower chain which at certain times made me question whether this was the right deal for me. However, Daniel, Jane and Mary where always just a phone call away giving reassurance that this chain was solid, but for me what made a real difference was the way that Daniel took charge of the situation orchestrating the whole chain when things got difficult the whole team went above and beyond to keep me informed every step of the way and finally the sale was concluded. I would not hesitate to recommend Daniel James as the agent for your next sale and I wish them all the success for the future. Richard.

We felt we were in very capable hands. We were both impressed with the friendly way they treated us and the excellent standard of their service. Many thanks to them for getting us over the line! Daniel started the house moving journey with us back in June 2024. Within 2 weeks on the market we had a solid buyer who offered us 98% of the asking price. We soon had a short chain but the hassle we had with the developer's 'solicitors' making fundamental mistakes throughout the conveyancing process tested Daniel's perseverance and professionalism but he came through and in the first week of February 2025 we have all exchanged our contracts and are completing and moving on 11th of this month. During the early stage of selling our property, Jane managed the viewings, gave us realistic feedback and helped with all of the communication between potential purchasers and ourselves. A thoroughly professional and approachable team – thank you.

We have used the services of Daniel and his team twice now, once for a purchase and once for a sale, we have dealt with other agents in the past and quite honestly, they provide nowhere near the levels of service and professionalism that Daniel does, every minute detail is thought of and dealt with competently and expertly, he really has set a new bar in this industry that all his competitors could, and should learn from to raise the standards in the area, we would never consider using anyone else.

Daniel was always available to answer my questions, providing clear explanations and expert advice throughout the process. Daniel kept us in the loop regarding what was happening with our chain and was exceptionally helpful when we were exchanging, liaising with other estate agents and solicitors. From the moment Daniel first answered my telephone call I knew he was the Estate Agent for me. Both Daniel and Jane have supported me with such professilism and empathy throughout my journey of selling my very elderly father's home which he had lived in for over 30 years so he could move back to be closer to myself and his family in Cheshire. Moving home is stressful enough but for me moving my Dad at 93 years old was such a difficult task but Daniel and Jane bent over backwards supporting me ,guiding, advising me. They never failed to ask how I was ,how my dad was and that meant a lot and made a difference. Daniel and Jane not only know how to sell a property, they have such knowledge about the property market but its going that extra mile that counts they care about their clients. Can't thank you enough guys!!!

Hands down the BEST estate agent we have ever dealt with. Quick communication, personal service, they found our dream house for us down to our brief rather than the classic saying ‘sign up to our mailing list and keep an eye on rightmove’. Daniel James is a relatively new entrant to the Oswestry estate agent market and from the moment I met Daniel I knew he was the estate agent to choose. Daniel is "on it": he provides excellent client service and actively managed the process, driving it to exchange. He uses technology to streamline the on-boarding process and took time to learn about the house and ensured this was shared with buyers by doing the viewings himself (unlike the other 2 estate agents I met). Daniel listened to my feedback on the photos and he shared my attention to detail with the video and drone footage. Daniel found us a buyer without even going to market and proactively managed the buyers through a long and sometimes painful sale process, building a relationship with them as well as me. Daniel's communication was excellent, keeping me updated throughout and responding quickly to me. My decision to "take a risk" and use Daniel rather than a more established estate agent has been validated throughout the process: I highly recommend him. Thank you Daniel!

Updated and adding to previous review! Dan has that extra special something as an estate agent, when I think about it, he sincerely cares about his clients, his extensive knowledge on this unpredictable at times business reassures you, he goes the extra mile, like I’ve never experienced with any another estate agent before, it’s the personal touches, the friendly and funny banter, the professionalism and helpful recommendations he makes to help you sell your home more quickly. I wish Dan every success with his new relocation of his business, that is now in Oswestry town, for it is much deserved for all the hard work Dan and his team have put in to it, in either the purchase or sale of your home. I wish you well Dan and the team, I have no doubt it will be every success! Our home was up for sale with another estate agents for a few months with no offers. We left that estate agents and then contacted Dan where he sold our home within a few days! Very professional service, Dan always responds quickly to all correspondence and has made what was a stressful situation become a much easier process! If I ever wanted to sell a home again, I would go to Dan first! Excellent service!!

We found Daniel to be extremely personable and professional with a quiet confidence. A confidence that led us to go abroad for a significant period during the sales cycle. Even when the sale process hit some major speedbumps, as chains do, he came across as always being in control and always found a solution. He offers what can be best described as a bespoke service with very personal input and a tailored marketing strategy. I would have absolutely no hesitation in using the services of Daniel in the future, and would recommend him in an instant to those looking to buy or sell a home. Daniel is an exceptional estate agent. He genuinely cares about his clients and keeps them fully updated at regular intervals. His personal touch comes through in so many ways and his advice is always considered, and to the point, whilst taking account the various view points involved on an executors sale. I was recommended Daniel James by a friend who knew he would get me moving. I had sat with a high street estate agent for a great many quiet months losing faith in selling. Daniel was brilliant; we got a great video and online presence. I was also pleased that he refreshes the images regularly and bullds interest. Our previous agent went quiet on us but Daniel keeps you in the loop at all times and is amazingly responsive. I found it hard to communicate in normal hours, due to work commitments, amazingly this wasn't a problem and I was never kept waiting. You get a first class service and a sold house, what more could you need?

Dan's experience and passion for property was evident at our very first meeting. We knew he was the Agent for us immediately. Dan relaunched our property to the market with exceptional photographs and a stunning video; his marketing strategy is far superior to the mainstream estate agents. Dan did the viewings personally and secured a buyer for our home very quickly. The whole process from start to finish was very slick. At any point, should we have any questions, Dan was always available to answer our questions ( 7 days a week, very refreshing!) which was amazing. Daniel is not from the “suit, tie and briefcase” brigade, where properties are, “delightful” or “exquisite” or even, “exquisitely delightful”! Oh no, Daniel is a new, rare breed of Estate Agent, like none we’ve seen around here before! Of the three we invited, Daniel was head and shoulders above the others and we easily made our decision. I’ve seen him described as “a dapper young man” and I couldn’t put it better myself! Smart casual is his style, very smart! Well-groomed, polite and with an open, honest and caring personality that you feel you can open up to – I probably did so rather too much! Over the first week or two, through regular telephone updates, Daniel always had time for a chat and would subtly get to know you and the life of the family whose home he's been chosen to sell. Likewise, I got an insight into him, his background, his home life, his beloved wife and young son. So, what does Daniel do differently? Most noticeably, he conducts all viewings himself which we’d never experienced before but we really liked this method. He always arrives in good time, he updates regularly without being chased, he calls back promptly if unable to take your call, he’ll help you look for your next place in terms of advice and speaking to estate agents on your behalf, he sees things through. Daniel may be young and recently established but he brings with him 15 years or so of experience and clearly knows what people want. I thank him for conducting the sale of our home and wish him great success in his future. Finally, a sentence I’m sure I wouldn’t be adding for any other estate agent …. I hope we will stay in touch!

We’re redefining what it means to be an estate agent.
